Kentwood-Metairie (I55) ~50 mi. map Unremarkable drive except that you'll be driving the whole time on a bridge. Yeah, that's right, a 30+ minute drive on one single bridge! The swampy area off to the sides is probably very interesting but you won't see much of it from up on that long-ass bridge. The road from Lafayette to Port Arthur (pic) looks better on map than in real life, which turns out to be boring, flat and lonely. The bayous, if that's what they are, look like grassy fields. That's it.
