Vermont wasn't designed with people who have a passion for driving in mind. I can recommend the ride from Burlington to Montpelier. It's not exactly exhilarating and pulse-pounding
but the scenery is beautiful and the road quality rates a 10 out of 10. Vermont's most scenic drive is probably the short one from Burlington to the end of the state on rt. 2 but
it's sloooow going during the summer. Another moderately fun drive is from Waterbury (that's where they make Ben & Jerry's ice cream) to Rutland on rt. 100. The pavement condition is
passable but the road itself is hilly/curvy enough to make up for the mediocrity of its maintenance.
